‘Yowie’ is an Australian Trichocereus pachanoi clone that was collected by Fields. It likely arrived in Australia during one of the initial expeditions led by Harry Blossfeld, who financed his journeys by selling plants to cactus collectors.

‘Yowie’ is a highly sought-after and popular Trichocereus with a distinctive spination pattern featuring two parallel spines per areole. It boasts prominent ribs and bears a striking resemblance to Ecuadorian Trichocereus pachanoi. The clone is easily identifiable by its unique pair of spines, setting it apart from other clones within this species.

This clone was originally distributed in the community by Marsha, a member of the SAB (previously known as “Yowie”).
