Mitragyna speciosa is a tropical evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia. Belonging to the coffee family (Rubiaceae), it can grow into a large, attractive tree with broad, glossy leaves. In its natural environment, it thrives in warm, humid conditions and rich, well-drained soil.

These are cold sensitive in the UK and so should be brought inside during the cold months.
