Ephedra distachya (3 years old)

Sown in February 2022, these Ephedra distachya specimens are now around three years old. They’re completely hardy in the UK and well-established.

Ephedra distachya is a tough, low-growing perennial valued for its distinctive jointed stems and excellent drought tolerance. Native to dry, rocky habitats, it thrives in well-drained soils and makes an unusual, resilient addition to any low-maintenance or Mediterranean-style garden.
